You’ll find this granola in my pantry at all times. Fantastic with yogurt, on salads, and the kids love it!
It’s simple, quick to prepare, and this basic recipe can yield lots of creative variations!Â
I’ve tried many different recipes and after changing them over time, I ended up with my own written on a post-it!
Â
Ingredients
- 3 cups rolled oats
- 1 cup slivered almonds
- 1 cup pumpkin seeds
- ¾ cup shredded sweet coconut
- ¼ cup flax seed (golden or toasted)
- ¼ cup plus 2TB sucanat (or brown sugar)
- ¼ cup plus 2TB maple syrup
- ¼ cup vegetable oil (sometimes I use coconut oil, liquid form)
- ¾ tsp salt
- 1 cup raisins or cranberries
Directions
- Preheat oven to 250°F.
- In a large bowl, combine oats, nuts/seeds, shredded coconut and flax.
- In a separate bowl, combine maple syrup, sucanat (or brown sugar) oil, and salt.
- Combine both mixtures in larger bowl and mix well (yes, sometimes you have to use your hands here) until all is evenly coated.
- Pour onto 2 sheet pans. Cook for 50 minutes stirring every 15-20min to achieve an even color.

We love granola at our house…this has some wonderful fall flavors with the cranberries and pumpkin seeds.
You’ll never buy store bought granola again… specially when you can make it any flavor you want!
