Are yours kids sweet snackers or savory snackers? Do they reach for fruit and cookies, or nuts and chips? One thing that my kids definitely inherited from me is their sweet tooth – they can never turn down a piece of chocolate! But they also love their salty crackers with edamame hummus.

This easy pineapple salsa is the best of both worlds! Sweet, juicy pineapple mixed with savory vegetables and a hint of spice from chili powder – it’s a snack you’ll never get tired of eating. It’s great with chips as an afternoon snack, packed in a lunch box or as a topping for grilled chicken or tacos!

If you deal with food allergies in your house like we do, don’t worry – this pineapple salsa is gluten-free, grain-free, paleo, vegetarian, vegan, nut-free, and still SO delicious! Let us know if you try it. Enjoy!

My kids LOVE bite-sized foods. I mean, who doesn’t? We enjoy everything from bite-size no bake chocolate bites to one of our favorite recipes, spinach and bacon mini quiches. For some reason, it’s so much easier to get my kids to try new foods when they’re in small bites. Everything is better when it’s mini!

Another great thing about bite-sized foods is that they’re super easy to pack in a lunchbox. These Mini Quinoa Pizza Bites are yet another fun-sized food that my kids can’t get enough of! My kids love pizza, so I took all the familiar flavors and used them to introduce another healthy food into my kids’ diet: quinoa! It’s a gluten-free food that’s packed with protein and nutrients. Score!

You can customize these with your family’s favorite pizza toppings – we used olives, spinach and peppers. These are great for meal prepping at the beginning of the week to have lunch ready to go! Of course, don’t forget to pack the pizza sauce for dipping. That’s the best part!

Yes, your breakfast can taste like dessert! This Peanut Butter Cup Smoothie Bowl is creamy, sweet, and a healthier way to indulge your sweet tooth.

I’m so excited to share this smoothie bowl recipe with you for a couple reasons! First, you know how much I love chocolate, especially paired with peanut butter. Is there a combination more delicious? I think not! My kids can never say no – and neither can I. ;)

Second, this recipe is from my friend Alison Lewis’ book 200 Best Smoothie Bowl Recipes. Yes, 200 recipes! Smoothies are a great way to pack in lots of fruits and veggies in your family’s diet, and smoothie bowls make them even more fun. They’re super creamy, and you can top them with all your favorite toppings. A great interactive meal for kids!

The big difference between a normal smoothie and a smoothie bowl is the texture. You want your smoothie bowl to be super thick – almost like soft-serve ice cream! Between the thick texture and the chocolate-peanut buttery deliciousness, this peanut butter cup smoothie bowl will have you thinking you’re enjoy dessert for breakfast.

200 Best Smoothie Bowl Recipes has every smoothie recipe you can think of, from kid-friendly recipes, green creations, dessert bowls, and even coffee and tea bowls for those of us that need our caffeine. Some of the recipes include Upside Down Apple Pie Smoothie Bowl, Green Coconut Smoothie Bowl, and Peach Paradise Smoothie Bowl. Can you say YUM?!

Smoothie bowls couldn’t be simpler to make. All you have to do is throw your ingredients in a blender, blend, and pour into bowl. You could even prep some DIY smoothie freezer packs ahead of time! Of course, I’d argue that the best part of a smoothie bowl is the toppings. The possibilities are endless! For this peanut butter cup smoothie bowl, we love banana, chocolate chips, chia seeds, and a touch of extra cocoa powder. I can never say no to more chocolate!

All of the recipes in 200 Best Smoothie Bowl Recipes are great for breakfast or snacking, and I know your kids will love them. Be sure to get your copy on Amazon!

One of my favorite things about summer is all the fresh berries available. Especially here in Louisiana, where locally grown strawberries are ruby red and juicier than any fruit you’ll ever try. It makes me even more thankful to live in a place with such tasty food!

Since summer is basically just a time for me to figure out how to eat the most amount of berries I possibly can, I have to get creative with recipes. My favorite? Smoothies! I love freezing fresh berries and throwing them in the blender for creamy, refreshing smoothies.

This Triple Berry Smoothie is one of our favorites right now! Berries are a great source of antioxidants, so we have three types of berries in here for the nutrition punch. And the tastiness. :) Greek yogurt adds protein and creaminess, and you can even add a handful of spinach for extra nutrients.

You and your kids will love this refreshing Triple Berry Smoothie for breakfast or a snack on warm summer days!
