- Milk: the liquid base for the smoothie. Use your favorite.
- Frozen banana: the riper, the sweeter!

- Ice: if not using frozen fruit.
Compared to ice, I prefer using frozen fruit for my smoothies. It blends up in a smoother consistency and texture, plus it’s a great way to put to use all those extra frozen fruits you have stashed away.

- Prep the Smoothie Bag
Label a freezer-safe zip bag with the smoothie ingredients and the liquid ingredients that will need to be added - Add the Ingredients
Place the oats, bananas, and strawberries into the zip bag, seal, and freeze for up to 2 months. - Blend it Up
To blend, remove the bag from the freezer. Place the liquids in the blender, add the frozen ingredients and ice. Blend until smooth.

Berry Banana Smoothie
Ingredients
- ½ cup old-fashioned oats
- 1 ½ cups milk, any
- 2 frozen ripe bananas
- 1 cup of frozen strawberries or raspberries
- 1 cup ice, if not using frozen fruit
Instructions
- Pulse the oats in a blender several times to grind.
- Add the almond milk, bananas, berries, and ice, if using. Cover with lid and blend until smooth.
- Divide between 2 glasses and serve.
