Don’t you love the ease of hot pockets? Now you can make your own and have them for breakfast with healthier ingredients.
I bet you know very well what a hot pocket is, and you know how convenient and easy a meal they can be! But they are just that: a convenience food. Not a food I recommend eating for breakfast—just look at the ingredients! Because of this, I’d rather make my own.
When your mornings are chaotic and the kids are running around playing when they should be getting ready, it can be easy for breakfast to slip through the cracks. I’m a big fan of what I call “grab-and-go” trays.
If I’m lucky enough to get the kids to sit at the table, I just prepare their breakfast tray in a lunch container. Sometimes, they need a little extra time to finish their breakfast on the way to school—my kids eat turtle slow.
Quick breakfast, quick lunches, quick dinners—sometimes planning seems to go out the window, but fortunately, MOMables has this covered! Our meal plan has lots of ideas to help you rock meal preparation during the week.
If you are anything like me, then breakfast sometimes has to be on the fly. Which is another reason I love these. I like having these whole-wheat Toufayan pockets around that I can stuff with any fillings I want!

- Egg + avocado + cheese
- Egg + bacon + cheese
- Egg + sausage + cheese
- Egg + feta cheese + olives
- Egg + spinach + bacon
The possibilities are endless! All you have to do is scramble one egg per pocket plus the toppings you want to stuff them with. While you scramble, toast the pockets to warm them, and voila! Stuff and serve. It’s that easy.
All you need is some of those yummy Toufayan whole-wheat pita pockets and your kids’ favorite breakfast ingredients! Presto! Breakfast at the table or breakfast to go.
Can these be made ahead of time? Sure! I often scramble my pocket filling the night before and warm it up in the microwave while the pockets are toasting. Easy-peasy.
What is so wonderful about this idea? It has a fraction of the fat and calories than those boxed brands have and is packed with protein! These whole-wheat breakfast pockets are the perfect fuel the kids need to start their day.

You can freeze these made and microwave for 30seconds – just as you would the grocery store ones. In the oven, 350F 12-15min.
