Today I’m sharing this easy recipe for a sweet pineapple salsa that’s loaded with flavor. It’s a great snack or topping for tacos, chips, and much more. Who’s ready to make it?
How to Make Sweet Salsa for Kids
While regular salsa is always great, this one is sure to become a kid favorite. Sweet, juicy pineapple mixed with tomatoes and just a tiny bit of spice from chili powder – it’s the best of both worlds! Here’s how to make it happen:
- Chop Away
Dice the pineapple, tomatoes, onions, peppers, and cilantro. Add the ingredients to a large bowl. - Add a Squeeze of Lime
To the tomatoes and pineapple, add a squeeze of fresh lime juice, a sprinkle of chili powder, salt, and pepper. - Toss to Combine
Toss the ingredients to combine, then grab your tortilla chips and serve!

Sweet, juicy pineapple mixed with tomatoes and a hint of spice from chili powder – this sweet salsa for kids is the best of both worlds!

Ingredients
- 1 cup diced fresh pineapple
- 2 Roma tomatoes, diced
- ¼ red onion, diced
- 1 jalapeno, seeds moved and diced
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- ¼ cup cilantro, finely chopped
- 1 lime, juiced
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the pineapple, tomatoes, red onion, jalapeño, bell pepper, cilantro, and lime juice. Season with chili powder, salt, and pepper, and toss to combine.
- Serve with chips or tacos.
