Dairy-Free, Gluten-Free Waffles Recipe (VEGAN)

  1. Preheat and grease a waffle maker.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, flax, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and brown sugar.
  3. Add the applesauce and vanilla, and mix.
  4. Slowly pour the water into the bowl, and mix to form a batter. If the batter is too thick, add a little more water, 1 tablespoon at a time.
  5. Using an ice cream scoop, pour the batter into the center of the hot waffle maker and spread with the back of the scoop until it’s within 1/4 inch of the edge of the grids.
  6. Close the lid, and cook until golden brown.
