The truth is that I have not been sleeping well for nearly a decade. In the last 3 years, however, I’ve made it an important goal to get better sleep (not necessarily more sleep). My quest for good quality sleep lead me to purchasing 3 mattresses in the last 4 years. With every new mattress, I didn’t feel like my sleep quality was improving, until recently. The last mattress I purchased, is hopefully the last mattress I will have had to purchase.
Today, I have Shawn Clark on the show. Shawn is the Founder-Board Member of intelliBED, is a graduate of UC Irvine with degrees in Economics and Math. He is a published author. He was director of new product development for 2 Fortune 500 companies and has consulted with the largest retail mattress company, Tempurpedic – Sealy, before co-founding intelliBED with his partner Bob Rasmussen.
Shawn and I talk about improving our quality of sleep, what we should look for when shopping for a mattress, how little mattresses differ in the marketplace. We also talk about my bed, intelliBED and explain how they worked with leading doctors and material suppliers to design, test and perfect a new type of mattress for home use that sleeps better, is safe, and lasts longer than any other product on the market today.
