Skip the pre-packaged box lunch for this Homemade Chicken Nuggets Lunchable. Made with REAL chicken and fresh ingredients, you’re kids will love this version.
It’s no mystery kids love those bright yellow boxes from the grocery store, but you can just as easily make your own at home for a fraction of the cost. Today I’m showing you how to recreate a favorite lunchable option with a recipe for homemade chicken nuggets.

Healthy Chicken Nugget Lunchables
To make this healthy lunchable all you need are my Healthy Chicken Nuggets Recipe and your kid’s choice of sauce and snacks.
Popular snack items to include in any homemade lunchables are:
- sliced apples
- berries
- Homemade fruit leather
- sliced cheese
- whole-grain crackers
- baby carrots
- celery sticks
If you make these nuggets ahead of time, reheat them in the microwave or toaster oven in the morning, and pack them into your lunch container. They’ll be at room temperature by lunch but no less delicious.

Can u substitute the cheese for something else?
Kendra Peterson
Depends. You can leave it out and just use less of the mixture per serving, but it might not be as satisfying to shake with so little! You can use a dairy-free/vegan “parmesan” cheese, although many are nut-based, so might be a problem for a nut-free school or classroom.
