Our homemade ketchup recipe is easy to make and your family will love it! No mystery syrups or preservatives – only fresh items from your pantry.

Yields: 2 cups of ketchup

Ingredients

  • 12-ounce can tomato paste
  • 24 tablespoons sugar, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon cloves
  • 1/8 teaspoon allspice
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 cup white wine vinegar
  • 1/22/3 cup water

Instructions

  1. Place all of the ingredients, except water, in a medium bowl.
  2. Add water in increments until you have your desired consistency (thicker or thinner).
  3. You can enjoy immediately, or store in an airtight container for up to 1 month. The flavors develop the longer it sits.
