Do you hate the sticky residue left over from aerosol buttery sprays?
I do too! Simply use a basting brush with melted butter or oil to grease your waffle maker, and cleanup will be a breeze. Your waffle maker will last longer, and it won’t be sticky. Bonus tip: Here is an easy way to clean up your waffle maker.

Hi Laura!
I am trying to watch your video on how to clean up the waffle maker but it is ‘private’. Anyway I can access to the video? Thanks =)

I didn’t even realize that the sticky residue was from the aerosol type spray! I just always thought it always was just due to it being oil and that any kind would cause that. I’m so happy to know otherwise now because I too hate that nasty stuff that’s impossible to clean. We have an old stir crazy popcorn popper and it drives me nuts with the sticky residue on it and no matter how much I scrub it won’t all come off. Now I’m betting it’s from years of using the butter flavor popcorn stuff that is for popping and topping! Anyway thank you for this tip!
