Pumpkin Spice French Toast Recipes

Pumpkin french toast with golden crisp edges and pumpkin spice flavor. Stack it up and drizzle with maple syrup for an epic fall breakfast.


  • 4 eggs
  • 1/4 cup pumpkin purée
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 4 slices thick white bread
  • Maple syrup, for serving



  1. In a wide, shallow dish, whisk the eggs with the pumpkin, cinnamon, and vanilla until combined. 
  2. Place each slice of bread into the egg mixture and allow it to absorb, using a fork to prick each slice gently. Flip the slices and repeat with the remaining side. 
  3. Lightly grease a large griddle or skillet with butter or cooking spray and heat over medium heat, 350F if using a griddle.
  4. Add the bread slices to the griddle and cook for 3 minutes or until the bread gets a golden, brown crust. Flip and reduce the heat to medium before covering the pan with a fitted lid. Cook for an additional 3-5 minutes until the opposite side is golden brown. 
  5. Remove from heat and serve with syrup and your choice of toppings.
