What happened to Yubo LunchBoxes & my personal review!

Update 2020: Yubo was a brand that started big on Shark Tank. I wrote this post originally in 2014 when I had multiple Yubo boxes that I used for my family. These lunchboxes were available online via amazon or the Yubo Website. Recently, the Yubo brand left a farewell message on their site and all of their products are now listed as “Not Available” on Amazon.
While we say goodbye to this great lunch brand, I still want to provide you not only with the best lunchbox inspiration but also my reviews of other containers that will last for years in your home.

If you want to read more about how Yubo Lunchboxes worked, here’s what I had to say about them in 2014.
My Yubo Lunchbox Review
I know you trust us to give you the latest and greatest in lunch box technology, right? Well, today I’m giving you a look inside the Yubo lunch box! While this bento-style box has some similarities to other brands, there are a few key (awesome) characteristics that set it apart. I’m giving you the details as well as a chance to win one in this Yubo lunch box review.

I’ve owned two sets of Yubo lunch boxes for more than 2 years now. They are my go-to lunch boxes for hot days and summer camp. The built-in ice pack and their all-in-one design makes it super-easy to use and carry!
First of all, I love that the entire thing comes apart and can go straight into the dishwasher. The top and bottom both pop off with ease, and into the dishwasher they go so that they’re sanitized in every nook and cranny. The deluxe package of each lunch box comes with a variety of compartments to accommodate both full-size sandwiches and smaller goodies (which you know I love!) as well as a custom-fitted ice pack that sits on the bottom, directly under the food-storage containers.
The materials are BPA– and Phthalate–free, which is important, of course. The whole box is quite sturdy, which I love.
Unlimited food storage combination options. With three different container inserts, the Yubo allows me to pack just about anything I have in our meal plans for lunch! Kids LOVE food in separate containers, and the Yubo allows me to pack a variety of foods in their lunch.
My kids love the interchangeable faceplates most of all! Yubo lunch boxes have space on the front and back for a faceplate that you can purchase individually. The faceplates are specially printed on waterproof, environmentally-friendly paper that can stand up to a good soap down with a sponge and can even be printed with your child’s photo! Of course, my daughter is nuts over the Frozen one.
One final aspect of the Yubo that I really appreciate is the handle that can be turned so that the box can sit horizontally or vertically, depending on your child’s preference. This handle also means that the whole thing is the lunch box. Unlike some other bento boxes, this one does not require an additional bag or box to carry it in! It’s truly an all-in-one lunch box.
As you can see, Yubo was a fun Lunchbox Brand and we’re sad to say goodbye! Check out more lunchboxes here.

I love our yubo so much that I am going to buy 3 more for our 3 kids that do not have to take a lunch everyday. Our yubo is our main lunchbox for our gf girl but her’s really took a beating this year so I’d like to replace it. Maybe I can win one and then I will only have to but 3 instead of 4.
