Ingredients
4 to 6
cooked meatballs
¼
cup
marinara sauce
Instructions
Heat the Meatballs
If packing a hot lunch, fill a food thermos with boiling water and let it sit for 5 minutes.
Meanwhile, heat the meatballs and marinara sauce together until the meatballs are piping hot.
If packing the meatballs at room temperature, warm them up just slightly to remove the chill from the fridge.
Pack for Lunch
For a hot lunch, empty the thermos and immediately fill it with the hot meatballs and sauce. Close the lid.
For a room-temperature lunch, pack the meatballs in a leak-proof lunch container.
Pack your child's favorite sides separately in a snack box.
Notes
Homemade and frozen meatballs both work well.
Preheating the thermos helps keep the meatballs hot until lunchtime.
Meatballs are just as delicious at room temperature.
