Toast the bread to a golden color. Once toasted, spread the mayonnaise on the bread slices.
Place the lettuce on one slice of bread, top it with ham and cheese. Close the sandwich with the other bread slice.
Cut the sandwich in half and serve or pack it for a school lunch.
Pack it for lunch:
Place the sandwich in one compartment, and sides, like fruit and veggies, on separate compartments, making sure to keep them away from the sandwich so it doesn't get soggy.
Pace the packed lunch inside a lunch bag and add an ice pack if necessary.
