The original Uncrustables are pre-made peanut butter and jelly sandwiches without crusts that have been crimped down to seal the filling and cut into a circle.
This cult classic can be found in nearly all grocery stores in the freezer section, varying in jelly combinations (strawberry and grape flavors) and even bread (white or whole-wheat).

Can You Air Fry a Frozen Uncrustable?
Yes! From the freezer to the air fryer, it’s that simple! Just place the frozen Uncrustable inside your air fryer and it will toast to golden perfection!
How Long to Air Fry an Uncrustable?
At 375F, a frozen Uncrustable will need 7 to 8 minutes to reach golden perfection while a thawed Uncrustable will only need about 5 minutes.

Should I Spray or Butter the Uncrustable Before Air Frying?
While not necessary, for ultimate golden color and crisp texture, spray both sides of the Uncrustable with oil or butter.
Should I Put the Tray or Rack Inside the Air fryer?
It’s a good idea to place the rack inside the air fryer so the heat and air can cook the Uncrustable on both sides at the same time.
That said, it’s not necessary and you can air fry your Uncrustable without it!
Air Fryer Uncrustables Step-by-Step
Grab those frozen Uncrustables from the freezer, remove them from the bag, and let’s get started!
- Spray
Spray both sides of the Uncrustables with cooking spray or lightly spread butter. This is optional but adds both flavor and great texture. - In they go!
Place the thawed or frozen Uncrustables inside your air fryer with the tray in place and close. - Set the Time and Temp
Set the air fryer at 375F. For frozen Uncrustables air fry them for 7 to 8 minutes. Thawed Uncrustables only need 5 minutes. - Enjoy
Open the air fryer basket and transfer them onto a plate. Whether you slice them in half or simply take a bite, enjoy the melty, gooey, goodness of pb&j!
How to make Uncrustables at home
If you can make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich you can make an Uncrustable at home with a sandwich cutter and sealer.
Simply make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, place the sandwich cutter and sealer on top, and press down to seal and crimp the crusts.
