It’s simple. It’s sweet. It’s childhood memories inside of a sandwich! When you want to make lunch feel like a treat, this Fluffernutter Sandwich is an easy idea you can pull together in no time.

The creaminess of marshmallow fluff and peanut butter between two slices of soft bread never goes out of style.

Make this tasty sandwich easily in 5 minutes and turn it into a balanced meal by packing it with your child’s favorite fruits, veggies, healthy snacks, and lunch sides.

What is in Fluffernutter Sandwich

This classic Fluffernutter Sandwich is made with delicious ingredients that kids will always say yes to! What you need:

  • Sandwich bread: white bread is a classic, but you can also use wheat bread.
  • Peanut butter: or swap for your favorite nut-free butter.
  • Marshmallow fluff: store-bought or this homemade version.

How to pack Fluffernutter Sandwich for lunch

Pack this sandwich properly so you can enjoy a delicious lunch hours later. Here’s how I assembled this sandwich:

  1. Spread
    Spread the peanut butter one slice of bread and the marshmallow fluff on the other slice.
  2. Close 
    Close the Fluffernutter sandwich and slice it half. Enjoy immediately or pack it in the lunchbox.
  3. Pack it up
    Pack this sandwich for school inside its own compartment of a lunchbox along with fruit, veggies, and your favorite lunch sides. Add an ice pack in the lunch bag if necessary.

Keep it chill
Pack this sandwich inside an insulated lunch bag and use an ice pack to keep the temperature inside the lunch bag cool.

Add fruit
You can add sliced strawberries or bananas on the fluffernutter sandwich for extra flavor and texture!

Make it a balanced lunch
Fruits and veggies are always the thing to pack with lunch! Pair this sandwich with berries, tangerine segments, grapes, apples, kiwi, carrots, shelled edamame, cherry tomatoes, and peas, to name a few!
