Hello. Thanks for the great tips. But where did u get that wide mouth thermo shown in the picture. can’t find that type of thermo thx.
Hi, Kattia! I don’t remember where I got those exact thermoses, but I found this one on Amazon. If you Google “wide mouth thermos,” you might be able to find more option.s
I warm my thermos and it doesn’t keep food warm!! Help
Valerie, you are probably not heating the food up hot enough. Please check out this post.
My husband always complains his soup is never warm. I boil the soup so it is beyond hot and that doesn’t work. I was going to try to buy another thermos so If this works you just saved this family dinner money. Thank you;
Serena, the Stanley is the one my husband has. He hasn’t complained about his lunch being cold once. :)
I have a gas stove and very carefully, hold the container up-side down (all stainless steel) over a low setting and whirl it around. It gets nice and hot in seconds and stays hot, and I use a thermal sleeve so it won’t warm up the beverage (and i use a coozi for his drink too to keep it cold). My son says when he opens his thermos the food is still pretty warm and his drink is nice and cold. Safety first when doing this!
Esmeralda, I don’t recommend doing this to my community. Thermoses are not designed to go to an open flame. Please be careful!
I understand. Thanks!
I love this idea! But with so many thermos possibilities out there, which brand do you recommend?
Danyel, check out my favorite brands over in our store.
The thermos brand in this post is no longer in your store! What brand is it? Can I still buy them? Thanks.
This is basically what we do! The water from our faucet gets super hot so we just use that (enough for the thermos to absorb the heat from the water and not the food) Their food is always still warm when they get to lunch!
Awesome Allison! I’m sure your boys love their warm lunches too!
I use my Kuerig for quick very hot water to warm a lunch thermos, and make sure the food going in is hot as well. Daughter says it is perfect come her lunchtime around noon.
Great idea of using the coffee pot!
