If you’re looking for the perfect lunch that has plenty to choose from and will fill everyone up, this guacamole and protein bento is it!
With a colorful variety of healthy ingredients, it’s both kid and mom approved. Today, I’ll show you how to arrange the lunchbox, so everything stays fresh.

Protein & Veggie Bento Box
When it comes to a kid-favorite lunch that takes less than 5 minutes to assemble, bento boxes are always a good idea.
A bento box is a cute presentation of kid-favorite snacks and lunch items, and the formula is simple: 1-2 protein options, 1 source of healthy fat, 1 complex carb, and endless amounts of fresh fruit and veggies.
Of course, you’ll need a dip with the veggies, and guacamole cups are a great option. You could use ones from the grocery store or make your own guacamole and pack it into a sauce container.
What is in this Guacamole and Protein Bento
In theory, you can create this bento with anything your child loves!
For this particular box I chose:
- Protein: rolled deli turkey and hard-boiled eggs.
- Veggies: bell peppers or carrots sticks.
- Fruit: grapes, could also be sliced apple, orange, or berries.
- Complex carbs: whole grain crackers.
- Healthy Fats: from the guacamole and cheese.

Here’s how I did it:

The fruit, veggies, cheese, and protein can be packed into the same compartments however, they fit best in your compartmentalized lunch container. - Add the dry snacks
Items like crackers and chips must be packed separately from the rest of the ingredients in order to stay crisp. - Prepare for shipment
Close the lunch container and pack it into a lunch bag with an ice pack.
How to pack guacamole for lunch?
Whether you use store-bought guacamole or make your own at home, be sure to pack it separately from the other ingredients. Add the guacamole cup to the lunchbox or pack it in a small lidded container to keep it from tipping over.
