This healthy turkey veggie snack pack for teens is vibrant, fun, and made with fresh, good-for-you ingredients!

Below, you’ll learn how to assemble this turkey veggie snack pack for teens and keep all the textures and flavors fresh until lunchtime.

Turkey and Veggie Snack Pack

When my teen daughter barely has time to sit down between classes and activities, this turkey and veggie pack is the perfect solution for a filling snack box or nutritious lunch-just slice, stack, and go!

Because she tries to eat healthy, my ham and cheese box and fruit & veggie bento are also popular choices in her lunch lineup. Definitely an upgrade from prepackaged versions!

Ingredients

It's not hard to make snack boxes that your teens will be excited to eat. You can build one using a combination of fresh ingredients like the ones below or follow the recipe card:

  • Carrot sticks: adds sweetness and crunchy nutrition. You can use baby carrots for less prep time.
  • Cucumber sticks: light and refreshing. If your kids don’t care for cucumbers, try celery or bell pepper slices.
  • Cherry Tomatoes: for a burst of colors and vitamins; grape tomatoes are great, too!
  • Deli Turkey: this lean protein can be swapped out with thinly sliced chicken or ham, if preferred. If you can choose nitrate-free, even better! Substitute hard-boiled eggs for a meat-free version, or just add them for extra protein.
  • Treat: whether you send something crunchy like cheese crisps or cookies, including something delicious to round out the lunch always makes kids feel special.

How to Make a Turkey and Veggie Snack Pack

Packing snack boxes correctly will help them stay fresh and crunchy until it’s time to eat. Here's how I assembled this one:

  1. Prep
Wash and dry veggies and slice as needed.
  2. Pack the ingredients
Place veggies and protein in a sturdy lunch container with compartments.
  3. Separate dry ingredients
To keep the cheese crisps or crackers crunchy until lunch, they should be packed in a separate compartment so they don't absorb moisture from other ingredients. If prepping ahead, try to add these at the last minute.
  4. Pack it for school
Keep the snack box, along with any additional lunch sides refrigerated until ready for school.

Tips to Keep This Snack Pack Fresh

With these additional tips you can keep this turkey veggie snack pack just as epic from the time you make it until the time you dig in:

Use the right container
The best way to keep everything intact and from getting jostled around is to use a bento-style lunch container. This way you can keep wet ingredients away from dry items like crackers or nuts.

Keep it Chilled
Store this snack in the refrigerator until you're ready to use. Add an ice pack to keep everything inside the lunch bag cool and fresh.

Pack Dressings Separately
If you plan to add a dip like ranch dressing for the veggies in this snack box, pack it in a small, leak-proof container and drizzle it at lunchtime.

Pack ahead
Why scramble to pack lunch early in the morning? Do it the day before and you can hit the snooze button one more time! Then just grab it from the fridge and pack it in the lunch bag.

More Healthy Snack Ideas for Teens

Snacks like this turkey veggie snack pack help my daughter power through busy days. Mix and match your teen’s faves like pepperoni pizza cups and homemade zucchini chips for a custom snack box. Throw in some no-bake oatmeal balls for a sweet treat!
