This sandwich is a terrific school lunch idea. Check these tips so it stays crunchy for hours:
Allow to cool down
Pack this peanut butter sandwich for school by cutting it in half and allowing it to cool down to room temperature completely, about 10 minutes, before placing it inside a lunch container.
Why should we let the sandwich cool after cooking? Great question! This trick prevents steam from building up in the container and making the bread soggy.
Add more nutrition
Build a filling and appealing lunchbox by adding fresh berries, apple slices, a banana, apple chips, homemade Doritos, and just about anything sweet or salty!
Separate dry from wet
To keep this grilled sandwich crisp and fresh, pack any wet side, like fruits and veggies, in a separate compartment of the lunchbox so they don’t moist the crunchy bread.
