Learn how to turn leftover buffalo chicken into a ridiculously easy, flavor-packed lunch wrap in the post below.

Easy Lunch Wrap with Buffalo Chicken
The school year is winding down, which means my teens are exhausted and I’m running on fumes. Basically, lunch has become a bit of a chaotic free-for-all. That leftover buffalo chicken from dinner, though? It’s about to save the day.
Just tuck it in a tortilla with some fresh lettuce and you’ve got an easy buffalo chicken lunch wrap that takes less than 5 minutes! Wraps like this one and my chicken salad wrap are the kind of real-life, no-cook lunches I need these days.
What You Need
This recipe is great for repurposing chicken leftovers from dinner into a high-protein lunch. Here’s what’s in this chicken wrap:
- Flour tortilla: use your favorite to make this wrap!
- Buffalo chicken: leftover buffalo chicken or shredded rotisserie chicken tossed in buffalo sauce will work great.
- Lettuce: adds crunch and helps prevent the wrap from getting soggy.
- Ranch dressing (optional): adds a cooling freshness to offset the spicy buffalo sauce. Greek yogurt is another great option.
If You Don’t Have Leftover Buffalo Chicken
You can still make this wrap without leftover buffalo chicken. Just toss some shredded rotisserie chicken with store-bought or homemade buffalo sauce, and you're good to go.
How to Make a Buffalo Chicken Wrap
A buffalo chicken wrap has all the epic taste of wings, minus the greasy fingers so you can also pack it in a lunchbox for a quick, mess-free school lunch. Follow these assembly tips for the best wrap:
- Prep the base
Place the tortilla on a flat surface and layer a couple of lettuce leaves on top. The lettuce acts like a barrier preventing the tortilla from absorbing moisture from the buffalo sauce and making it soggy. - Add the filling
Scoop the buffalo chicken on top of the lettuce, placing it in the middle of the tortilla and drizzle with ranch dressing (if using). - Wrap it!
Roll the buffalo wrap up burrito style. Slice in half and enjoy!
Wrapping it Tight
Once you have layered your wrap ingredients in the right order, all you have to do is fold in the sides, tuck one end over the ingredients, and roll tightly to ensure everything stays neatly inside.
Packing a Chicken Wrap for Lunch
Don't slice your wrap until just before you're going to pack it. Put it in a hard, sandwich-sized lunch container to keep it from moving around and add fresh fruit, veggies, and sides to a separate compartment with an ice pack. Extra dressing should be poured into a small, leak-proof container and kept apart to avoid spills.
