Your kids will love making these Chocolate Covered Apple Slices! Melted dark chocolate with crisp, sliced apples and your choice of yummy toppings- it’s the perfect healthy treat!

Chocolate covered apple slices topped with shredded coconut, chopped nuts, chia seeds, and granola.

Snack time just got way more fun! These Chocolate Covered Apple Slices are the perfect way to get the kids involved in preparing food. They will have so much fun preparing and who doesn’t love dipping anything in chocolate?

How to Make Chocolate Covered Apple Slices

This is a great dessert I’ll often make when I want to eat clean, but need to satisfy a sweet tooth. The combination of crisp apples with smooth dark chocolate and crunchy toppings like nuts and chia seeds is both satisfying and much healthier than a candy bar. Here’s how to make them:

  1. Melt
In a small bowl, melt the chocolate chips.
  2. Arrange
On a cutting board or parchment paper, place your choice of toppings in separate rows.
  3. Dip and Roll
Dip each apple slice into the chocolate, then roll it into a topping. Place onto a sheet of parchment paper until the chocolate hardens. Repeat.
  4. Enjoy
Grab an apple slice or two and enjoy!

Recipes like these prove that you can make delicious treats made with clean ingredients. Whether it’s breakfast, dinner, or snack any recipe can be recreated into a healthy, family-favorite meal.

Toppings for Chocolate Dipped Apples

You can use whatever toppings your kids want, but here’s what we went with:

  • Shredded coconut
  • Chopped peanuts
  • Chia seeds
  • Chopped dark chocolate
  • Chopped banana chips
  • Granola

I love to get my kids involved in the kitchen as much as I can. From letting them stir ingredients to chopping vegetables, I try to make the kitchen a hands-on environment where they can learn how to cook and appreciate each meal.

Let us know what toppings your kids would love on these chocolate covered apple slices! Enjoy!
