Your kids will love getting home after school and snacking these chocolate covered apple slices! I show you 6 ways to make them with fun and tasty toppings.

This after-school snack is easy to make, delicious, and a fun way to enjoy fresh fruit! Read on to learn how to make chocolate covered apple slices with the best toppings.

Chocolate Covered Apple Slices

After School Apple Snacks

Snack time just got way more fun! These chocolate covered apple slices are the perfect way to get the kids involved in preparing food. They will have so much fun preparing and who doesn't love dipping anything in chocolate?

My kids love snacks with apples and I love any snack that includes fruit! When they arrive from school hungry, these apple slices with chocolate never dissapoint. It takes 15 minutes to make them and they are delicious. Of course, this mom also snacks one or two slices!

As I do in my healthy apple donuts, this recipe takes a kid-favorite fruit and adds tasty fun. You and your little ones can dip these slices in your favorite toppings and enjoy a different after-school snack every time!

Ingredients

The combination of crisp apples with chocolate and crunchy toppings is both satisfying and much healthier than a candy bar. Here’s what you need to make them:

  • Apple: the MVP of this snack; use your favorite variety.
  • Dark chocolate chips: to melt it and dip the apple slices.
  • Toppings: my go-to are shredded coconut, chopped nuts, chia seeds, and granola. You’ll find more tasty ideas below.

How to Make Chocolate Covered Apple Slices

These chocolate covered apple slices are as easy as delicious! You’re going to love the simplicity of this recipe. Check out how to make it:

  1. Melt
In a small bowl, melt the chocolate chips.
  2. Arrange
On a cutting board or parchment paper, place your choice of toppings in separate rows.
  3. Dip
Dip each apple slice into the chocolate, then roll it into a topping. Place onto a sheet of parchment paper until the chocolate hardens. Repeat.
  4. Enjoy
Grab an apple slice or two and enjoy!
