Turkey wraps are one of the easiest ways to pack a filling, high-protein lunch without making another sandwich. They come together in minutes with deli turkey and a few simple fillings, travel well in a lunchbox, and are easy to customize for kids, teens, or adults.
Below are some of my favorite turkey wrap recipes, plus plenty of ideas for what to put inside and how to pack them so they stay fresh.

What to Put on a Turkey Wrap
- Meat: deli meats, bacon bits or strips, shredded chicken, cooked ground meat.
- Veggies: lettuce, baby spinach, shredded carrot, shredded cabbage, tomato rounds, sliced or chopped onion, bell pepper strips.
- Condiments: Ranch dressing, hummus, mayonnaise, mustard, pesto.
- High-protein add-ins: hard-boiled eggs, canned tuna, sliced or shredded cheese, cream cheese, black beans.
Laura’s Packing Tips for Turkey Wraps
When you make a wrap, place the ingredients in the middle, fold the sides in, then fold the back over the ingredients and tuck as you roll it closed.
Spread as much mayo, hummus, or ranch as needed to help the other ingredients stick to the tortilla, and place any wet ingredients, like tomato slices, in the middle on top of other ingredients to create a barrier. Whenever possible, place sliced cheese or the deli meat next to the tortilla.
You can make these wraps 3 days ahead and store them in the fridge, covered in plastic wrap or in an airtight container, to prevent the tortilla from drying out. To keep them fresh longer, wait to slice them in half the same day you’re going to eat them. I also recommend packing them in a sturdy container, separate from veggies and fruits.
